Can an electromagnetic flowmeter measure nonconductive liquids?
The HNLD catalogue describes measurement of conductive media. Do not select it for nonconductive liquid without further technical confirmation.
What is the minimum conductivity?
The catalogue specifies at least 5 μS/cm for the measured fluid. Temperature, concentration and process conditions also matter.
What straight pipe is required?
For an inline meter, the source specifies at least 5D upstream and 2D downstream, with D representing internal pipe diameter. If space is limited, provide an installation drawing before final selection.
